Near real-time images from NOAA’s first Compact Coronagraph (CCOR-1) onboard the GOES-19 satellite are now publicly accessible! 📸🌞 This new telescope monitors the sun's outer atmosphere (corona) and detects eruptions called coronal mass ejections (CMEs). This will improve NOAA's space weather forecasts that help protect our satellites, power grids and more.
